27 Sep XIPIXI Founder António Macheve Jr. meets Minister of Youth and Sports of Mozambique, His Excellency Mr. Alberto Nkutumula
The Minister of Youth and Sports received the Founder & Creative Director of menswear brand XIPIXI at his office in Maputo in a meeting held behind closed doors. Macheve had the opportunity to converse with the Minister about the humble beginnings of the brand, which was founded with the equivalent of $3 US dollars four years ago and is now serving 8 countries around the world, in the Southern African region, Western Europe and the United States.
Mr. Alberto Nkutumula congratulated Macheve for his efforts and went on to stress that it is important for young Mozambicans to be entrepreneurial in times of crises by not only showcasing their products in platforms such as Mozambique Fashion Week and Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Joburg, but also ensuring that they build practical business structures to monetize their craft and create jobs.
The meeting ended with Macheve gifting the Minister with XIPIXI accessories and inviting the official to attend the official XIPIXI Mozambique launch event, which will take place in Maputo in the coming days.
